Hi All,

Just a quick note about the recent updates for Manjaro. Everything seemed to work smoothly, with no errors, until I restarted the system.

I was then getting an error stating: "No Screens Found" or "Unable to load Light Display Manager", and the system would not boot past that error.

After some searching on different websites, I did find a solution that worked for me. As this is not a Nvidia issue, most of the 'solutions' didn't work for me.

What I did, was boot to a command prompt from the error message, using CTRL-ALT-F2. Log in using your username and password, and type in the following command: "sudo mhwd -r pci video-vesa". This will shut down the vesa server on the system. Once that completes, type in "startx", to load your x server.

I hope nobody else runs into this type of error, but just in case, I thought I'd share.

Good to know, I just did a fresh install of Manjaro on a laptop last
Saturday. So far soo good on that machine!

You experience is one I am tucking away in the "OH $H!T what now!" file!

Good to know, I just did a fresh install of Manjaro on a laptop last Saturday. So far soo good on that machine!

So far, I'm really liking Manjaro. There are a few things I want to change,
but haven't gotten to them yet...

It really was an "OH $H!T, what now!" moment. There was a huge amount of updates that came through last week. Everything ran smoothly, until I
rebooted the system. That should teach me to reboot a well running system. :)
