How's your business going man? Did you get your book sales online?
    I'd support it!

Sales are "up" to a summertime busy-ness. That's a good
thing. But there is no rash overbuying to make up for the
    previous 4 months of nothing-ness.

It is encouraging (and humbling) when people compliment the
shop when all around me are stacks and stacks of a backlog
of papers and books, and clutter. The odd person will speak
out and say something like "Best store ever." or "This place
    looks like a REAL bookstore."

I've shipped a couple of locally produced books to Australia
and the UK, recently. Shipping costs were pretty high -
especially when I insist on tracking and insurance.

I would have loved to get most of the inventory online, but
it truly is cost prohibitive at this point.

I had a copy of "Dal¡ Pop-Ups" just laying around and the
customer was ecstatic when they discovered it. I let it go
for $25. I saw online listings at $65 and up. Mine was a
little visually worn. But brand new copies were listing at
    $150 and up.

I also had a copy of "The Audrey Hepburn Treasures". Mine
was practically brand new. It was just propped up against a
box near the floor. A customer made a scene in her happy
dance of excitement when she "found" it. She said that she
had twice ordered copies of it online and they never
arrived. She was happy with my $95 price.

Stories and events like that kinda make me hang on.

But.. there is a cost to hanging on - more undesired debt.

Thats so good to hear! At least you survived the 4 months and can move forward.

Well if you can find me the entire Vince Flynn collection, I'm happy to
pay more of a premium. I've missed a lot of his books, particularly
after his death. I'd like all of them. I tend to fall asleep quickly
when I ready, but for some reason his easy reads keep me awake and I
can't put the books down. My dad would probably have a couple of hard
to find books he'd like to own, I'll check with him, if you are open to
    the idea.
