Hey all,

Mystic is acting funky lately. I'm running .45, not .46 .. lately when I
load MIS servers it polls each network I subcribe to, stating that each are busy. It then just sits there for a period of time (minutes) and sends a
fatal error in it's attempt to poll. A few minutes later, it logs all
servers as working.

In addition, when someone logs in, the screen sits blank for about 10-15 seconds prior to displaying the login matrix, and then seems to not always acknowledge keystrokes for a 1-2 second delay when inputing user name and password.

The only change I made was installing AVAST. I uninstalled it and will hope there is a better anti-virus (free) package out there more BBS friendly. But could use some suggestions on where to look to fix this weird issue.

After uninstalling AVAST, and rebooting Windows, I ran into the
aforementioned and for a good 3 or so minutes could not connect to the BBS
via telnet.

Now everything is working OK wit the exception of the delay at at login and delay in initial keystrokes at enter user name and password.

Any tips to look for would be appreciated.

I dont use Windows, nor do I use Mystic.

But you may find upgrading helps... (but that answer often bugs me, until its linked to the cause :)

Thats ok Deon .. Avon solved part of the problem -- a super top secret command line fido karate maneuver that fixed the polling, now I just have to figure
out the config end and the pause at login. At least I'm getting mail again. Yeesh. I want to upgrade but hear there is some time involved. With my daughter (I've never met) arriving tomrorow, I'm a week out from that venture.

haha .. no. Much more singular attack that knocked it right out. However still not the login and character input delay, which is killing me smalls.
