I saw that on Fidonet, too, and promptly sent in a free application. And haven't yet heard back (it's only been a few days, though). The process does lean pretty heavily into, "You really should donate".

Which is reasonable enough. But since I don't know any of the games, nor if I'll even run any of them, it seemed hard to justify.

It's odd, honestly. I know "Sunrise Doors" better than any of their games.

Yeah, that is legit. I was trying to register one or two doors and what I
got back back about 5 years ago was a package with all the keys/codes for
the sunrise doors.

I can recommend Word Warp and Chain Reaction. Both InterBBS capable word
games. I think Paul was pondering adding them to the list of InterBBS doors that are run in fsxNet but I don't know if he's done that yet, or if it will happen.

Have to say the same. The owner of said, hangs out on FB in, BBSing 2.0. When I was getting TLP off the ground he was saying I have doors that will work. But when I looked at them I was like uh... what are these?

I have recollections of looking at a couple way back, but never using any.

Yeah. And I highly doubt that the person will be getting rich off of donationware door games, so it's probably $10 well spent regardless. If only all the various BBS-related-item authors could get a bit of cash from it, too.

They are legit. I got mine a couple of years ago. I have most of them online
on my boards. Just don't lose the keys. There is a $25 or $35 fee to
reissue your keys. I had to pay for the one door that I registered in the
90s.
