Now that it seems we may be getting Spitfire going does anyone know of any other SysOps running Spitfire? It would be nice to maintain a list of boards.
I checked the Telnet BBS List and no Spitfire BBSs are listed... :(

I checked out I believe was your board yesterday. Loved what I saw in terms
of the menus & the navigation. Even though I am slowly getting my own TG/2 board setup...your menus are exactly what I hope I was able to capture with
the tweaks I did to TG.

When you get the board fully functional...please let me know.

It appears that Robert Riddell is testing a Spitfile BBS here also. That is the only one I am aware of (although I think there may be another, maybe in Canada?).

I dont think I've added my Spitfire BBS yet. Its not ready for primetime. Bobby Riddell (Leisure Time) told me that he added his. Im not sure when
Ruben Figeroa (PB Spitfire!) will list his. We are working out the kinks together. ;)

Maybe you visited my Mystic Board? Its been up for over a year now. The Spitfire board 'The Rock' is my original system from the 90s. Three of us
are currently working to get a board that does not support Telnet and has not been updated in more than 10 years up with echo and netmail. We have had
some very generous offers from the likes of Nick Andre (D'bridge) and Mike Woltz) the author of Spitfire so we should be able to get most of the
original functions back in operation. Ive already had to write two new
support programs to make up for the shortcomings and challenges. Its a labor of love. I really like Spitfire for its simplicity. The ASCII version
easily pops fast, simple menus that those who prefer speed and simplicity really like. I ran that damn board for some of my best years. Its no Mystic but it was my first love.

If you wanna check out the current progress visit us at therockbbs.net:10024

Lots of little problems but its coming along. If you arent familiar with Spitfire try both ANSI and ASCII connections. That will give you a good feel for the system.

    Cheers!

Love that egg on my face...since it was another board over at gapbbs I had a gander at.

It was fast & adding in the colors I was getting got me excited that I was heading in the direction I was going to.

In terms of being Mystic or any other software...it was retro & for me...I liked what it looked like. If I can get that same type of look...I will be a very happy camper.
