Sorry about the double posts. Somehow ZEC was configured twice in
sbbs, which shouldn't actually be possible, therefore each message was going out twice. I do believe the issue is fixed now.

It appears so, because this message only came in once.

skip those posts completely... we won't talk about the problematic quote letters on each line (eg: the solitary "M" above should be ML for "MarcLewis")

I hate to think what would happen if I top posted! ;)
Yeah the M thing is something to do with tin and I've not figured
out how to fix it yet and it's not on the high priority list.
What I'm having trouble figuring out is why you're using a barelyfunctional
unix program like Tin to do anything with. It's 1970's technology which Ican
remember many years back when New Orleans had a freenet (dial-in) thatlinked
to a unix server and utilised Tin as its newsgroup reader/responderprogram. It
was a PITA back then. You're using Sync for goodness sake. If you're notat
the console, telnet into the darn thing and use its message editor! :) Atleast
it's capable of quoting correctly (albeit truncating some lines.)Surely
If you must use the Usenet setup, get SABnzbd for Linux (also available for
Windows and Mac) which is supposed to be one of the very best around.
it's message editor would do a better job than the 35+ year old Tin client.

I like it. I've been using it since 1995. The editor is
just fine, it's called vi (or vim these days), it's just
the tin config that's not creating the quotes correctly.
I'll get around to it.
stuff. I've been using usenet for 23 years so it's what I'm
familiar with.
One final benefit to using tin for me, I'm very familiar
with it and the keyboard shortcuts, if I want to delete or
change something, it's much quicker than grabbing for a
mouse and cutting & pasting. Just for you, I fixed the
single letter quote line in 2 seconds this one time ;)
just wait till he gets to quoting both of us and trying to figure out if"ML"
is you or me  that's one reason why i use all lower case and hopethat
others' quoters won't force all upper case as some still do...
