If you need ftp access use ID fido PW files and it should work the same.

insane logins, default is ftp as:

sane format, all browsers in windows 95 support it, even windows xp can handle it

proftpd on linux uses

Yup, Write access is denied for ALL users. Temp IDs are set up with Upload capability as needed. :)

with proftpd it does, but thats not the same as if both logins exists as unix accounts

diffrent ftpd servers, diffrent problems

and logs says me that users or bots is confused on how to make ftp logins in generic, sadly
