The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 245
continues.

SUMMARY...Some damaging wind threat will persist to the east of
Watch 245. Coverage of the threat may be too localized for new watch
issuance, but trends will be monitored.

DISCUSSION...At the intersection of two outflow boundaries near Tama
Co, IA, a cluster of strong/severe convection has organized. This
cluster may propagate east/southeastward along the outflow extending
towards the Mississippi River, as convergence forces new cell
development. Although tropospheric flow weakens with eastward
extent, rich boundary-layer moisture and steep mid-level lapse rates
may maintain a damaging wind threat with this cluster. Sufficient
upscale growth and/or bowing could require new watch issuance.
