The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 248
continues.

SUMMARY...Primarily wind damage threat will continue with linear
complex moving northeast. Greatest threat for severe gusts will be
along the north-northeast portions of the line. A northeastward
extension of Severe Thunderstorm Watch 0248 may be possible before
expiration.

DISCUSSION...A linear complex has surged northeast across central
Oklahoma, with marginally severe wind gusts observed within the last
few hours. The latest observed gusts have mainly been constricted to
northern portions of the line, where convection propagating
northeastward parallel to stronger mid-level flow has allowed for
cells to move in tandem with the cold pool. Large buoyancy (3000+
J/kg MLCAPE) resides out ahead of the north-northeast portions of
the line, suggesting that at least isolated severe wind gusts will
remain possible with the stronger cores for the next few hours.

Convective trends are also being monitored just east of the bounds
of Severe Thunderstorm Watch 0248, where at least modest instability
is present. If organized convection persists towards this area, a
localized WW extension may be necessary and convective trends will
continue to be monitored.
