    Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 181...

    The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 181
    continues.

    SUMMARY...Numerous thunderstorm clusters continue across WW 181.
    While storms have shown a marked decrease in intensity over the last
    hour, a few stronger storms remain possible across central South
    Dakota.

    DISCUSSION...Latest regional radar mosaic imagery shows a large area
    of thunderstorms ongoing across much of WW 181. MRMS CAPPIs suggest
    that updrafts within these storms have been rapidly decreasing in
    strength over the last hour as buoyancy has been reduced
    significantly due to the extensive convective coverage. While an
    isolated storm may briefly pulse upwards in intensity, the severe
    threat is rapidly dwindling over much of the watch area. The one
    exception is over Hand County, South Dakota where a strong/severe
    cluster of storms continues to exhibit MRMS MESH values near 1".
    Large hail and severe wind gusts will remain possible with this
    storm cluster before it moves eastward into Tornado Watch 180 in the
    next hour. Expectation is that WW 181 will likely be able to be
    canceled prior to the 5Z expiration time.
