• Tornado in Maine

From Mike Powell@1:2320/105 to DARYL STOUT on Saturday, September 01, 2018 08:59:00
I saw Heat Advisories in New England, and earlier today, there was a Tornado Warning in Maine.

That is pretty unusual, is it not?

    Mike,

While tornadoes have occurred in all 50 states, that is rather
unusual. Red Wing, Minnesota sustained quite a bit of tornado damage
    this last week.

The biggest weather extreme was a few years ago in the Dakotas. The
eastern part of the state had Tornado Watches, Flash Flood Watches,
Tornado Warnings, Severe Thunderstorm Warnings, and Flash Flood
Warnings. As you moved westward, they changed to Winter Storm Watches,
Blizzard Watches, Winter Weather Advisories, Winter Storm Warnings, and Blizzard Warnings. I still have the screen shot from such in the weather
    files on the BBS.
