    Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 354...

    The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 354
    continues.

    SUMMARY...The threat for a few severe wind gusts persists across the
    watch, and may affect parts of northern Lower Michigan later this
    evening.

    DISCUSSION...Two lines of storms currently exist across the region.
    One line was surging northeastward across Upper Michigan, with
    another trailing southwestward from near Green Bay into southwest
    Wisconsin. The greatest threat for damaging winds currently appears
    to be with the more meridionally oriented portion of the line from
    Green Bay to north of Milwaukee, while storms farther southwest are
    more oriented along with the deep-layer mean wind. While the
    strongest instability exists across southern Wisconsin into Iowa,
    the threat appears to be transitioning to heavy rain with training
    echoes.

    To the east, instability is less over northern Michigan, but perhaps
    sufficient for severe wind gusts given ample shear and mean wind
    speeds. Depending on convective trends over the next 1-2 hours as
    storms cross Lake Michigan, a new watch may need to be considered.
