    Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 344...

    The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 344
    continues.

    SUMMARY...Damaging wind gusts and a tornado threat persist across WW
    344, as bands of storms in southern Illinois and southeast Missouri,
    and more discrete storms in central Arkansas advance east. Counties
    in the wake of these storms can be cancelled from from the watch.
    Farther southeast, additional counties may need to be added across
    northwest Mississippi and perhaps into southwest Tennessee as
    discrete strong to severe storms affect this region.

    DISCUSSION...At 2050Z, mosaic radar imagery indicated bands of
    storms extending from southwestern IL into southeast MO, while
    storms are remaining more discrete into northeast and central AR.
    The CAPE/shear parameter space along and east of this activity
    remains sufficient for additional severe storms with all severe
    hazards possible. Damaging winds are the primary severe-weather
    threat, though vertically veering winds continue to favor low-level
    storm rotation and a tornado threat into the evening.
