    Areas affected...Central High Plains

    Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 333...334...

    Valid 070206Z - 070300Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 333, 334
    continues.

SUMMARY...Threat for strong wind gusts and hail may extend past the
expiration time of Severe Thunderstorm Watches 333 and 334. Local
extension in time may be needed across portions of the area.

DISCUSSION...Thunderstorms throughout the region have generally
maintained a predominately discrete storm mode over the past few
hours. However, storms have become a bit more clustered over the
last hour. The northern cluster (east of DEN) has shown trends
toward more discrete propagation along the southward moving outflow.
While strong updrafts have occasionally been noted, the overall
downward trend in individual storm organization suggests a gradually diminishing storm threat. Even so, large hail and strong wind gusts
remain possible, particularly with any storm mergers.

Farther south (across southeast CO), a few more organized updrafts
remain but cold pool amalgamation appears to be underway, evidenced
by the increased forward motion noted on recent scans. Instability
is a bit higher here than areas farther north and the expectation is
for storms to persist a bit longer across this area.

Severe Thunderstorm Watches 333 and 334 are set to expire at 03Z and
a new watch after these expire is not currently anticipated.
However, local extension in time may be needed over portions of the
area given the persisting threat for strong wind gusts and hail.
