The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 333, 334
continues.

SUMMARY...Threat for large hail and strong wind gusts persists
across Severe Thunderstorm Watches 333 and 334.

DISCUSSION...A discrete storm mode continues to persist across the
central High Plains with generally isolated activity extending from
southeast WY all the way into northeast NM. Area VAD wind profiles
continues to show long hodographs characterized by
easterly/southeasterly surface winds and strong westerly flow aloft.
Resulting 0-6 km shear is over 50 kt, which is evidenced by the
mesocyclones present in all of the discrete storms. The overall
thermodynamic environment remains favorable for storm persistence
and new development, particularly along the outflow of ongoing
storms. As such, large hail and strong wind gusts will remain a
threat over the region for the next few hours.
