    The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 168, 169
    continues.

    SUMMARY...Severe threat will slowly decrease with time. Convective
    trends will be monitored, but no re-issuance or extension of a WW is
    expected at this time.

    DISCUSSION...Linear, southward propagating segments of a mature MCS
    are currently moving across southern portions of Severe Thunderstorm
    Watches 0168 and 0169. While the atmosphere remains unstable, the
    onset of nocturnal cooling and subsequent stabilization of the
    boundary layer will result in storms becoming increasingly elevated
    with time. As the MCS continues to propagate southward away from the
    stronger mid-level flow, forward motion will be mainly driven by the
    strength of the cold pool, with storm outflow becoming increasingly
    likely to outrun convective updrafts.

    As such, the severe threat is expected to diminish with time and
    further watch issuance/extensions are not expected at this time.
