    Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 253...

    The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 253
    continues.

    SUMMARY...Severe threat continues for Watch #253 continues and may
    move east of the watch in the next few hours. However, the severe
    threat should diminish with time especially after sunset. A watch
    extension is unlikely.

    DISCUSSION...Storms continue along a line from Lake Michigan
    southwest through central Illinois. There are severe warned storms
    within this line, and this line has produced a couple of severe wind
    gusts in the last two hours. Storms should continue to form
    along/ahead the cold front and move eastward into a moderately
    buoyant environment (MLCAPE of 2000+ J/kg) with weak unidirectional
    flow parallel to the front. The severe threat will continue for the
    next couple of hours, but overall, the threat should start to
    diminish especially after sunset. Strong wind gusts remain the most
    likely severe threat and hail is also possible. The line of storms
    will move out of Watch #253, but an extension is unlikely given the
    anticipated diminishing severe threat.
