    The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 222, 223,
    226 continues.

    SUMMARY...Damaging winds remain the primary severe-weather hazard
    this evening across the valid portions of severe thunderstorm
    watches 222 and 223 in south-central Missouri and extreme northwest
    Arkansas, and as the band of storms advances into the western part
    of WW 226. Given the forward speed (35-40 kt) of the line of storms
    moving through the remaining parts of WW 222 and WW 223, both
    watches could be canceled early.

    DISCUSSION...Trends in mosaic radar imagery indicated two
    well-defined forward-propagating mesoscale convective complexes have
    developed across MO, and are progressing to the east-southeast at
    35-40 kt. Each complex has a well-established cold pool, while the
    downstream environment remains moderately unstable with DCAPE of
    1600-1700 J/kg from northwest AR to southern MO. These factors
    favor a continued threat for damaging wind gusts as the primary
    severe-weather threat, as storms move through the remaining valid
    portions of WW 222 and 223 into WW 226.
