The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 221
continues.

SUMMARY...Strong to isolated severe gusts ranging from 50-65 mph are
possible over the next couple of hours across mainly central KY and
the bordering counties of southern IN.

DISCUSSION...Radar mosaic shows a mature squall line from southwest
IN arcing south and southwestward into western KY. The gust front
has become displaced ahead of the convection on the southwestern
portion of the squall line where the mean flow is more parallel with
the gust front orientation. It is here on the southwestern portion
of the line in western KY where the risk for severe gusts is low.
Farther northeast, measured gusts on the KY Mesonet ranged from 46
mph in McLean County to 63 mph in Crittenden County. The airmass
where temperatures have warmed well into the 80s in central KY is
likely where the greatest risk for 50-65 mph gusts will occur during
the next hour.
