    Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 175...

    The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 175
    continues.

    SUMMARY...The severe weather threat continues for areas along and
    ahead of the front this evening. Severe weather intensity will wane
    after sunset.

    DISCUSSION...There are two primary areas of severe weather concern
    this evening near the eastern shore of Lake Ontario and in south
    central New York. While the northern area has been the most
    organized through the afternoon and early evening, expect this line
    to become increasingly disorganized as it interacts with an
    increasingly stable airmass to the east this evening. Additional
    cells are starting to develop in the more unstable airmass south of
    this activity. These cells may organize into a few strong to severe
    storms this evening given effective shear of 50 to 55 knots and
    MLCAPE around 1000 J/kg. Expect severe threat to wane across watch
    175 after sunset as the boundary layer stabilizes.
