NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
1007 PM CDT Tue Jun 12 2018
Areas affected...The Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles and far western
Oklahoma
Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 174...
Valid 130307Z - 130400Z
The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 174
continues.
SUMMARY...The severe risk may persist beyond 04Z and local
extensions of severe thunderstorm watch 174 may be needed.
DISCUSSION...Remaining severe threat will primarily be associated
with the line of storms in far NW Texas. These storms will likely
persist into the overnight hours as they continue to move into an
increasingly moisture rich environment with eastern extent. The
severe threat will likely wane through time, but may remain long
enough to warrant local extensions of severe thunderstorm watch 174
ahead of this line.
