Probability of Watch Issuance...20 percent

SUMMARY...Some gusty winds are possible with storm cluster moving east/southeast across eastern KY toward far western VA this
afternoon. The overall threat appears marginal at this time.

DISCUSSION...A cluster of storms in the Bluegrass region of eastern
KY will continue to track east/southeast this afternoon. Deep layer
shear across the region remains light, but continued destabilization
and increasing DCAPE values will be adequate for some stronger wind
gusts. LEX recently saw a peak gust to 35 kt and potential exists
for some marginally severe gusts through the afternoon, especially
if the cluster can become better organized. At this time, the
overall threat appears marginal and a watch is not imminent.
However, trends will be monitored into the afternoon hours for any
increase in intensity/organization.
