If you've been getting the error for a while and no message base maintenance is running (e.g. smbutil, chksmb, etc.), then just delete the file c:\SBBS\data\subs\dove-deb.lock

That sounds like something trying to do something with a sub-board or message in a sub-board when something else already has it open and locked. It would be
good to know what you were doing when that error was generated. And when that happens, try to see if anything else has that same sub-board or message open.

we had a power loss the other day during an event, I had to fix a lot of issues, but I never saw this error before. Turns out there was a lock file for that message base, and deleting that, cleared up the issue. Thanks for the reply.
