Hi all!
How does one run the user editor in the Linux version of Synchronet? I tried the ;UEDIT command in the classic synchronet shell but that did not work at all.
Did you build SBBS or use binaries? Do you have uedit in your sbbs/exec directory? (ie: /sbbs/exec/uedit )
That 'uedit' is not directly related to the "UEDIT" sysop command (one does not depend on the other). The ;UEDIT sysop command just requires that you're logged in as sysop and that you have a way to enter string commands (e.g. beginning with the semicolon) in the command shell you're using. This normally will pass the command to exec/str_cmds.js which will then decided what commands you're able to execute and then execute the appropriate command based on the string you typed.
