The only place to get a truly good cheesesteak around here is at Fred's Downtown Philly.

If you're looking for the crap that Pat's and Geno's serves in Philly,
you're wasting your time as the quality of those sandwiches is highly overrated. So you might as well got to Arby's.
It's not quite the mid-cities area but Dave and Busters makes a pretty
real and tasty Philly steak. You can take that from someone who lived
in Philly for over 30 years.
Onto the other types of NE food...
Jersey Mikes isn't a *bad* sub/hoagie and if you're looking for real
NY Jewish deli style food like corned beef, I'm rather fond of Cyndi's
NY deli.
Taylor pork roll (and scrapple) can be obtained from Central Market
but any store that stocks Boars Head brands can order it.
For PA Dutch foods, the Heritage Bakery around 175 & 274 is it.
