The Girlfriend and I made a foray to the Fuzzy's Tacos location at
    Mockingbird and Abrams today.

Food is still their standard fare. The place was packed, and it was a lot of families with kids present, which isn't the normal Fuzzy's crowd. But I also suspect that its proximity to so many residential neighborhoods and its distance from SMU had something to do with it, along with their fairly inexpensive menu.

It's nice having this fairly close to the house. Service was typical Fuzzy's fare, too.Good to know that a fairly different taco stand is branching out
and doing good business. I suspect the traffic in the door is substantially higher than the Blockbuster that was their before this.

We'll be back, and not just because I have two substantial stacks of their logo cups in the cabinet. (Bring one of their cups and drinks are substantially cheaper)

It's also nice to see something that started in Ft. Worth crossing to Dallas for a change.

I have not been to Fuzzy's, but the youngsters I know sneer at it
(apparently, "authentic" tacos are somewhat of a fad with the twenty- thirty-something set right now). Their preferred taqueria is Torchy's
    - which I tried, but found to be disappointing (the tortillas were
    soggy).

For tacos, I go to El Paisa on Sandy Lake at I-35E. DAMN fine.

Fuzzy's is known for their fish tacos, and yeah, they're not authentic.
    Still quite good, though.

The one in Denton was always packed during school, though. I sometimes
wonder how much this is because of the tacos and how much is because of the better quality draugh beer selection. Since I don't do beer, for me it's the tacos.

Authentic is a tricky word with Tacos. I've heard varying opinions on what
an "Authentic" taco is from lots of Americans. My sister-in-law, who is from Mexico, tends to say that it depends on what part of Mexico you're from as
    to what authentic is.

But yeah, Fuzzy's isn't going to win the authentic taco prize by using feta. They're still quite tasty, though.
