By the way, why not?

As far as I know, the permission of the moderator was obtained before this echo
conference was connected to Telegram.

Strictly speaking, this is not exactly a gate in Telegram. It looks more like a
BBS with access via Telegram.

As Brother described, it's very much just a way to access his bbs
system with a smartphone/tablet or the desktop with some of the
advantages of Telegram itself: portability from device to device,
for one thing.

Every single fidonet echo would not make sense. The Telegram
solution is best for the basic chatty types of echos. Echos with
charts, fixed-with tables, wouldn't look good.
