I hate starting things off here with "people my age". But when I talk about
our favorite Adam Sandler movies with friends, most likely its going to be drawn into conversations about Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, Billy madison, The waterboy... maybe even 50 First Dates.

I really didn't like those movies too much, because Sandler can only play that angry buffoon before the movie gets a bit boring.

But Punch-drunk Love is different. Its an art-film that takes that
seething anger that Sandler is famous for, and showcased it perfectly. That movie really showcased his talent perfectly in a very dramatic role.

Its one of my favorite movies of all time.... and I have a lot of movies.

Emily Watson played the girlfriend role perfectly. Everything about this movie I thought was perfect. The Shelley Duvall "Popeye" soundtrack, the annoying sisters, the angry Philip Seymour Hoffman performance.

    "Two thumbs up... way up".
