    Visual C++ 6.0 (1998) or newer, is my understanding.

    I believe you can also use MingW32 instead.

    I believe you can also use MingW32 instead.

    I'll look into MingW32, thanks, I tried Visual Studio 2013, 2015 and 2017, but no joy :(
