• Sports Doors On The BBS

From Daryl Stout@1:19/33 to Charles Stephenson on Sunday, June 21, 2020 09:17:00
    Charles,

There are 2 working copies on Door Party, one is a football game, the other a basketball game from the same author. The football game the
limit is using the short pass feature, which sucks. Otherwise i'd play
    it like ALL the time!

Scott Snella did 3 "franchise sports doors"...basketball, football,
and hockey. I've got them registered on my BBS, but haven't played them.
I wish I had more time to play more of the doorgames.

Did you pay to register them? Do you have doorparty on your BBS? wondering if those are the same door keys I'm looking for

I got them through Doug Rhea at bbsfiles.com -- for likely at a reduced
cost from what they were originally. I don't know if he's still around, let alone his website. He has been battling stage IV cancer for awhile.

He's still around, had a couple emails back and forth a few weeks ago when I was trying to track something down. Didn't know about the cancer... hope he either comes out ok, or gets some fulfilling time with those close to him. He seems a decent fellow.

He has always been helpful and cordial every time I typed with him.

Some folks don't have as favorable an opinion of him, but he posted
a message on his website about that. Basically, if folks don't want to
deal with him, that's their choice. To me, his making doors registerable instead of abandonware, even at a fraction of the original cost, was
    worth it to me.

THOSE are the ones I'm looking for (well I have them) but unregistered they are
a little crippled. I used to play them and have them on my BBS back in the 90's. really liked them a lot

Contact Doug Rhea -- most Sysops are frugal cheapskates, and I registered
a whole slew of doors through his website.

Thanks for the info. I never had a problem registering doors back in the 'good ole days'. Even more so NOW even just to show the author(s) we STILL appriciate
the work and joy they gave us

This is true. I just wish I had more time to play more of the doors.
However, I take care of my life outside the BBS first, then after I do
the QWK Mail, I relax with the doorgames.
