We have a bill that is upsetting the religious community in our state even though my state is very far left. I was saying if the practices they want to keep were reliable then you would see less need or want for people to ban
the practices.

Golly, do you mean that Cali is still allowing some of those "cures" for "sexual deviancy"? I would have figured that'd been one of the first
states to have done away with electroshock therapy, etc., because it
certainly does not work.
