Maybe ..... I'm not sold :-) The world doesnt seem a whole bunch
different in the last year, arguably, you could say in some respects
it's gone backwards.

To be honest, my best guess really was that support is being (hopefully)
found elsewhere... I've also noticed that things really haven't changed
for the better, as well... :)

I would think that the need for support would at least equal if not surpass the need for support in the past. On weekends I help
facilitate a local men's support group and the group(s) are usually
quite full. We have added extra group sessions during the week to
help those that need the support.

Which, as I told Nick, is more what I really expect to be the case...
it's just much quieter here in the echo than it's been in the past... ;)

Agreed. The ability to feel that you are not alone and that one is among others who have a bases of understanding one's feelings.

I think sometimes it is hard for people to come forward and
acknowledge what feelings they might have regarding being a dad and
what their situation might actually be. I know from personal
experience that guys sometimes are reluctant to admit a situation. I
know I have felt that way in the past regarding being a dad.

While women do tend to be more vocal about such things, sometimes it's
hard for us to open up to the deeper stuff, too, unless we really feel
safe with the ones around us.... Support is a very good thing... :)

Safe, security, and trust all play an important part. That is why we have a rule that what is said in group stays in group. The subject of being a dad is not an uncommon topic in group. :-)

Quite understandable... :) Lots bound up in being a parent, whether as
part of a couple, on one's own as a single, or having to parent mostly
at a distance.... :) And lots of support needed to carry it off... :)
