With some tweaking it might have been made usable.
Of course, one can say that of about any recipe.
True, question is, is it worth the time/effort to tweak?
Why not? Especially if you're adept at doing
    things on the fly.
Some things I am, others, I'd just as soon leave to others.

I doubt I'd ever bother to classify or assess a
recipe in advance - if someone wants me to fix a dish
and it was an unfamiliar cuisine might have to look it
up and exercise some critical thinking, but by and
large, recipes are merely a guideline.

least interesting and entertaining of himself.
Not a line that most people pursue, either by choice or life
    situation.
The word for those who do is "sociopath."
Not the crowd I generally hand around with. (G)

Nor I, habitually, but things happen, and
you have to deal with them sometimes.

We've got some of the above, have had others from time to time. The other day Steve found part of the adapter that we used to use to
play > CDs thru the car's cassette player.
Heh. "Found part of the adapter ... ."
It had a device that you put the CD into (looked like a small player)
and a cord, with a cassette like thing at one end that got put into the
car's cassette player. He found the former, but not (yet) the latter. A
moot point now as we've got a CD player in the truck.

I've seen them, long in the past. Never
used one, not having had a car, though.

Sometimes I'm just a wee bit jealous of those who
get away with self-destructive behaviors for far
    longer than they ought.
Most often it doesn't bother me.

Then you're a better person than I. In my
psyche there is always the wish for just
retribution when someone seems to be getting
    away with something heinous.

I think most consumers are on the same side as
    government in this case.
    Let's hope so.

Or let's hope that government is on the side of most
    consumers.

    Title: Grilled Tomatillo Shrimp
Looks like a coastal Mexican recipe, interesting.

I don't see any ingredients that smack of a regional
identity beyond a sort of generic Mexicanness, except
    mesquite and shrimp, of course.

This one is tasty enough but not so Mexican.

    Hi Michael,

I usually try to stick close to the recipe for something new. Then too,
I usually don't do the really off the wall exotics, so I do allow for
wiggle room in my prep, if I I think it is needed.

I've seen them, long in the past. Never
used one, not having had a car, though.

It was a gift to us, IIRC, from younger daughter. Sat. radio makes
keeping one station better now than when we'd have just AM or FM but
there are still times, especially on longer road trips, when a CD full
of favorite music beats the radio.

I'd rather have justice than retribution.

Not going to hold my breath on that one.
