Does anyone else remember buying Chocolate Tapioca Pudding?

I don't recall it but it certainly did exist.

My mom's recipe that she got from a friend in the early 60s is very
    similar.

    Chex Mix

They called it "Nuts and Bolts" quite possibly because of the
    Cheerios and straight pretzel sticks.

8 Cups Cereal (Corn, Rice, Wheat) Chex, Cheerios, Crispix

There was no Crispix back then. They used dark brown whole wheat
Shreddies which is a Canadian Nabisco, then Post, brand cereal
    similar to Chex, plus Cheerios.

    1 Cup Salted Mixed Nuts

They used just inexpensive plain peanuts

    1 Cup Pretzels (broken up)

    and small straight pretzel sticks.

    1/4 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
    1 tsp. Seasoned Salt

At some point later on, a generous amount of La Grille Barbecue
    Seasoning instead.

    1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
    1/4 tsp. Onion Powder

    Garlic but not onion powder.

    6 Tbsp. Margarine or Butter
    5 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce

It was tasty stuff and I haven't had any for decades. Time to go buy
    some cereal and make some!

    Cheers

    Jim

I never heard that name for Chex Mix.

Yeah, Crispix is a new cereal compared to the others.
I remember the first time I ate Shredded Wheat - UGH! Fooey!

I have been buying Rice Cakes since I can't find Quaker Puffed Rice anymore.

    1 Cup Salted Mixed Nuts

They used just inexpensive plain peanuts

    1 Cup Pretzels (broken up)

Sometimes We break up Pretzel Rods or Small Pretzels.

    1/4 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
    1 tsp. Seasoned Salt

At some point later on, a generous amount of La Grille Barbecue
    Seasoning instead.

    1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
    1/4 tsp. Onion Powder

    Garlic but not onion powder.

We made Onion Powder using Onion Flakes (I think that is what it is called)
and grinding it up in the Osterizer.

    6 Tbsp. Margarine or Butter
    5 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce

It was tasty stuff and I haven't had any for decades. Time to go buy

    Glad I posted the Recipe.

They are two very different cereals. Shreddies are much like Chex
but made by a different company. This is what they look like: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shreddies#/media/File:Shreddies.jpg

We made Onion Powder using Onion Flakes

Same here. The larger flakes keep their aroma and flavour longer
    than the fine powder.

Eat beef: the West wasn't won on salad.
