Yep, and give them enough time a "baker's dozen"* will be 12 and a
"dozen" will be 11. Nice odd number...kind of like the packaging of
hot dogs and hot dog buns that's so acceptable.
I really am having trouble wrapping my head around that one... that
would be like a foot only having 10 inches.... ;0 And just as well I don't care much for hot dogs or the traditional white bread buns.. but
the obvious solution is to either eat two of the 10 dogs sans bun
(only 8 of them, after all)... or stuff 2 dogs in one bun a couple times... ;)

The hot dogs that we buy are fairly skinny, and so we often slice them
in half and put one and a half on each bun. That still leaves us with
one dog left over.

Ok... that's not computing... 2 dogs left over, sliced in half, make 4 half dogs... add them to whole dogs, and that's 4 buns with 1 1/2
dogs, and 4 with 1 dog each.... Doesn't that account for them all...?
;)

hotdogs are seven to the package. Four buns, each with 1 1/2
dog takes care of six dogs, and then there is one left over.

Oh, ok... never seen packages of 7 dogs that I know of... And it's usually packages of 8 buns...

The buns are eight to the package, but we can only eat four at a meal
and so freeze the other four.

What brand are those....? I'll take your word for it, just never
noticed any like that... :)

Hebrew National, no-fat variety. We have been eating them for a while because they had a good weight watcher rating. But, we are about to branch out on the theory that since we don't have them all that often
it does not matter as much how low-cal they might be.
I think we are about to give the Costco 1/4 pound all beef hot dogs
a try. Don't know how many of those one gets in a package.
