I'd vote for peach cobbler... :) Not so keen on 'nanners... ;)
But 'nanna puddin' is traditional southern with bbq. (G)
Oh. Well, if UDD is coming, he's allergic to nanners.... ;)
No word out of him yet.
Maybe he has to wait till closer to the date to be able to know
    if he's available.... :)

Don't know, maybe he's got the time booked already for something else.

I saw that he is waiting til closer to the date to make a commitment...

We had rain on Sunday, may have been a small tornado in the area
    but unconfirmed yet.
I heard that some nasty weather came through your way last night
or so...? And that it was then heading up the coast, so that
    should miss us, too....
There were a few tornadoes (EF 0 & 1) and straight line winds in
and around the area. We had heavy rain and wind--power lines down
in some areas also but we kept power this time. Could have been
    much worse over all.
Sounds like....! We've had wind and rain for the last couple
days.. and a cold front came through, with a bit of snow in it...

Thought so, from looking at the weather reports. We had a bit of rain
on Friday but no tornadoes this time.

    That's a good thing... :)

There was a little snow on the bottom of windshields, and blown
against back fences, but it's gone now... forecast for rain and
snow throughout today and into tomorrow (Sunday), with highs in
the 40s, and lows in the 30s... then back to highs in the 50s
    for next week....

Time to bake bread or do something else to run the oven for a
    while. (G)

True... although it didn't quite work out that way... ;)

BTW, NOAA upgraded Hurricane Michael from Category 4 to 5.
The eastern part of the state is still dealing with the
aftermath of last year's (and 2016's Hurricane Matthew) storms.
    Not so good....

No, but not much can be done about it.

    True.

I baked rye bread on Monday, hot milk cake today.......but no cold
weather that required extra heat. It was cool (60s) on Monday but I
think the rest of the week we've been in the low 80s. Steve had the
pellet grill/smoker running yesterday (outside)--nice weather for it.
He'd volunteered to cook for the VFW meeting last night so smoked some
Boston butts. We bought "baked" beans, potato salad and cole slaw to go
with them. Dessert should have been 'nanna puddin' but didn't have time
to make it so he got some cookies and brownie bites.

Thumbing thru a NC cook book earlier I found a recipe Michael would give
    the WWTT appellation to:

    TUNA AT ITS BEST!

2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans Chunk Light Tuna (packed in water)
1 (15 ounce) can LeSeur peas
    2 small cans asparagus spears
1 (6 ounce) can mushroom slices or 1/4 to 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms,
    sliced
1 single bag (of double pack) potato chips

In 2 quart dish, layer one can tuna, 1 can asparagus spears, 1/2 can
peas, 1/2 can mushrooms. Repeat layers. Pour 1/4 to 1/2 cup asparagus
juice over layers. Crush potato chips and cover layers with chips. Place
in preheated 375 degree oven until heated through and chips are well
    browned, approximately 10 minutes.

Society, North Carolina Division, Inc, c 1981.
