    I'm back up from an awkward crash that should have taken only 2
    days to get back from, but took 7. The OS on the spare was not
    correctly installed and the work arounds were pretty significant.
    I didn't have an XP Pro CD to fix it (one is on order now along
    with another XP box).

    No fun. My Fido was down on Monday but back up the next day. I don't
    mind short outages but if it's more than about 3 days, my fingers get antsy. That's why I'm glad Steve can solve (most of, but not all) my computer problems. He's also good about doing updates.

    Must be the season... We had our DSL blocked on us last Thursday... not something that Richard could fix... spent lots of time on the phone with
    them, finally they put in a repair ticket... the tech was able to get
    here a day earlier than promised (and in the morning rather than the
    afternoon, too), so things got taken care of quickly after all... No
    rhyme nor reason to why... the tech was able to just unblock....

    The fun and joy of modern technology. Our younger daughter got rid of
    all of her cook books--just looks up recipies on line as she needs them.
    I like browsing thru a cook book to get ideas.
