I think I'll stick to espresso shots though.
    Pick your own poison.
Beats the ones the medical profession gives me. Cheaper too.

If it works even in a symptomatic way, all
the better. It wouldn't be likely to work
    for me.

    The Google search for "ditzy guy" yields 26500 results;
:ditzy girl" gets 33000. It seems less gender-biasesd
than schmuck, which is almost universally male, which
makes sense; but why schlemiehl and schlimmazel should
be similiarly male-dominated isn't so clear.
I think both of the latter are male gender in Yiddish.

Grammatically most likely. But schmuck is
intrinsically male, whereas the other two are
conceptually neutral (and, further, you can
have a schlemiehle or a schlimmazele but
presumably not a schmucke except by a major
stretch - word 1 means prick as in the family
jewels context, and the other two mean goofball
and hard-luck, which are not so gender-specific.

The issue is that rabbis set themselves up as life
authorities as well as book authorities. A
common-sense-free rabbi is going to cause as much
trouble as a minister, priest, imam, psychologist,
    or shrink of that description.
Depends on the rabbi, and the congregation. Smart ones admit to not
    knowing some of the answers.

They probably have the littlest congregations.

Ewww. I won't go into my experiences with neurologically active
drugs, except to say that the cure was uniformly worse than the
    disease.
    Well, try that minister then.
I generally start with the Source. Works better.

No point trying to convince us that. Look
at this phooey world. Offtopic, too.

    Same with upper level clergy.
I'm not all that familiar with dealing with hierarchical clergy structures, other than what I read in the papers.
Personal acquaintance I'd not expect; but certainly
    the papers' testimony is relevant.
If only a piece of the story.

Sadly, for most of us it's all the story we
    can get.

True, but my guess is a bathroom is cheaper than cleaning up the
mess, and draws fewer complaints than a bucket and a curtain.
    My point.
OTOH some large companies don't think that far ahead.

When success is measured only in terms of the
next profitable quarter, that's what happens.

    Raisin syrup
    categories: railroad, ingredient
    yield: 1 batch

    3/4 c plus 2 Tb water
    1/2 c raisins
    1/2 ts fresh lemon juice
    1 pn cinnamon

Put 3/4 c water, raisins, lemon juice and cinnamon
in a small saucepan; cover. Simmer over medium heat
25 min. Remove from stove; allow mixture to cool.

Puree the cooled syrup in a blender or food processor.
    Add remaining water. Puree.

Most of the drugs they give me either don't work, or do damage and
    don't work. Which figures.

I've never seen any of the three refer to a female however. The
maleness is implied and tradition is tradition.

    Never stopped anyone before.

It generates some awfully dumb decisions. I know a lot of
    corporations like that.
