Hopefully things are resolving by now...? The Super Glue does
appear to have some merit... ;) Good that you could at least
resume some of the therapy... :)
I had a couple of good work outs in the last few days, another one
    coming up tomorrow.
Good. That should help the overall healing... :)

Slowly, but making progress. I did not stand for the Easter choir
today however. I'm trying to go up steps the normal way but didn't lift the right knee quite high enough going to the stage area and my toe hit the step above. It let me know that the knee is still mending.

Progress is good. :) So they had a chair for you on stage...? I
remember from when my ankle was healing that steps that I used to be
able to do no problem suddenly were MUCH higher than I thought... With
the ankle it was particularly going down, more than up...

Saw the doctor today--it looks like the honey is working. He said
it might take a couple of months to heal from the inside out, but
it looks like there's finally some progress. We may not have to
go with the Super Glue or restitching options.
Also good.... As long as the incision is healing properly, and
keeps healing, that's a good thing... glad the honey seems to be
    doing the trick... ;)

It's an old remedy that has been usurped by newer, faster ways to accomplish the same thing--when they work. And no, not too much of it
is used at a time, plus it's covered so my knee isn't sticky. (G)

That works out nicely, then.... :)

Even the sample we tasted at Publix (made with apricot jam) was
    too sweet.
Had you used a home-made less sugar apricot jam, it might have
been closer to what you'd be happy with... but if it wasn't all
that great a recipe anyway, no reason to keep playing with it... ;)

That's what we figured. Discussed possible options but it came down to
the fact that neither of us were that impressed with the recipe so the card went into the recycle bag.

    Might as well... ;)

Yes, we had quite a storm system roll thru Sunday night into
early Monday--washed all the pollen off the truck but now there's
another layer. It'll be this way for a few more weeks, then
    settle down.
We're sort of getting into pollen season here... we don't have it
as bad as you do, though... Thursday night's heavy rain did knock
a lot of pollen onto my windshield though, that I noticed when I
used the wipers Friday morning... ;)

I think the pine pollen is slowing down now, finally! We've had some
days when you could see clouds of it.

I'm glad ours isn't that bad ever.... ;)

We always get some cave aged gruyere. Started as a sample, now a
    favorite.
They hooked you on that sample... ;)
Very much so, not that I mind.
Some things just are worth it... (G)

That being one, a 5 year old Cheddar is another.

    That, too.... :)

I like to rehome where appropriate, if possible. Last year I was
given some flannel--pink, with a princess/castle/etc print to it
so some of it went into a baby quilt this spring. Found out that
the lady due in fall is having a girl and another lady is due in
November. Fall baby may have some of that flannel in her quilt. (G)
    Useful piece of fabric... :)

That's what I figured. Very much a little girl fabric. The quilt I
made for the boy expected soon (I think in a couple of weeks now.) was solid blue flannel with alternating pieces of prints. The prints were
of sports balls, construction equipment and other little boy oriented. Used up scraps from other projects on that one. (G)

And that's the beauty of quilting... ;) Not much (if at all) of the
    fabric goes to waste.... ;)

Got to keep this Friday's date, then go next week M/F. A W one
is set for May, have to see on F what other times might be open.
Twould be nice to be able to do both therapy and quilting... :)
Yes, but not this week--got an appointment for W when I went in
yesterday. Today I was able to get some T/Th appointments with
another therapist insurance is OK with so am booked for the
    better part of May.
    Sounds good... :)

I'll be doing therapy on my own for a couple of weeks tho. I couldn't
book any while I was on hold so lost the chance to keep going to the clinic. Can't do some of the resistance ones but some work out beats
    none.

True.... That's a bit strange about the clinic's policy, though, since
it wasn't your fault that therapy had to be put on hold, it was doctor's orders....

    Hi Nancy,

Slowly, but making progress. I did not stand for the Easter choir
today however. I'm trying to go up steps the normal way but didn't lift the right knee quite high enough going to the stage area and my toe hit the step above. It let me know that the knee is still mending.

Actually, a stool that put me at a decent height.

remember from when my ankle was healing that steps that I used to be
able to do no problem suddenly were MUCH higher than I thought... With
the ankle it was particularly going down, more than up...

Agreed, going up is getting easy but down is still a challenge. I can do
it, but it takes a bit more time.

Also good.... As long as the incision is healing properly, and
keeps healing, that's a good thing... glad the honey seems to be

Much more comfortable, especially with warmer weather beginning to
    settle in.

Best place for it, not taking up room in the house and now gone.

I never thought it was that bad when we lived on the coast but the sea
breezes took most of it away. Came back to the state, living further
inland and not as many breezes to blow it away.

    That, too.... :)

Burt hooked us on that when he brought some to Janis's picnic in 2008.
Found that Cabot makes one (and a 3 year old) so we try to get some at
    their outlet in Waterbury, VT.

No, especially if you're making scrappy quilts. I've a box of "fancy"
fabrics that one day may go into a Victorian style crazy quilt.

    quilting... :)
Yes, but not this week--got an appointment for W when I went in

Therapy times get booked up fast as most people need multiple sessions.
With new patients wanting to get into the clinic as soon as the doctor
says it's ok, it's understandable that time slots fill up fast. I'm on
the call if a cancellation list--have gotten in a few times with that
but will resume scheduled times in early May.
