    Yesterday I was cleared to go back to work on my right pinky. Doc said
    that
    nothing was broken. The reason my finger is not extending, he told me,
    was
    that the bone grew back at an upward angle instead of a lower angle.
    He told
    me to make my pinky my "nervous tic" meaning I should "play" with it to
    get it
    stretched out and working. I am going to hear about my knee tomorrow.
    I am
    sincerely hoping I can get back to work next week!

    That is indeed good news.

    Also, I received a letter from the bank who held the note on my Versa.
    They
    said that the loan has been completely paid off.

    Ditto; it's no more than you deserve.

    It's rare that I get a red-letter day like that. ;)

    We're hoping there will be more ti come. Also
    perhaps we can be part of the process in September/

    So here is to seeing everyone at the picnic this year. See, if there's no room at the inn, I can always sleep in my van now. :D

    Title: Stuffed Artichokes
    2 c Bread crumbs, seasoned
    2 c Parmesan cheese, shredded
    1/3 c Garlic powder
    4 ea Artichoke, whole
    Recipe from: Alton Brown

    Those have to be pretty huge artichokes to be able to
    take more than a cup of stuffing each, and such would
    take more than 25 minutes to cook; but what caught my
    eye was that that is a monster amount of garlic.

    Title: Curry Dip
    Categories: Dips
    Yield: 1 servings

    1 1/2 c Mayonnaise 3 tb Chilli Sauce
    2 tb Curry Powder 1/4 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Pepper 1 tb Garlic Powder
    1 tb Finely chopped onion 1 tb Worcestershire sauce

    Mix all ingredients together. Keeps well in covered container in fridge
    for several weeks. Makes approximately 1 3/4 cups. Source unknown
