As it turns out, that combination of keys is manageable on my
machine (it has a smallish keyboard). I tried it just now, and
it doesn't seem to do anything.

Holy CRAP !!! What the heck was THAT ???

It's called a tagline. Some are considered witty.

    My toilet just flushed... :-O

And can be heard, though faintly, through the 13 or however many
provinces and territories and across the lower 48, even the
flyover parts. But what does that mean?

    DIY Toilet Fizzies
categories: household cleaner, do not eat, untested
    yield: 30

    1 c baking soda
    1/4 c citric acid
    1/2 ts vinegar
    1 Tb hydrogen peroxide
15 dr essential oil (or to smell)
    sheet pan
    parchment paper
    measuring spoons
    h - optional
    spray bottle with
    1/2 water
    1/2 vinegar

tl;dr - combine dry ingredients. Separately combine
vinegar and peroxide. Add liquid mixture drop by drop to
powdered mixture. Gently mix in fragrance. Mold into 30
1/2 ts balls. If they don't hold together, spray with a
mixture of 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar to form a crust.
Dry at least 4 hr before using or storing.

Add the baking soda to a mixing bowl and use a fork to
break up any clumps. Baking soda naturally cleans and
eliminates icky odors, making it the perfect base for
the fizzies. Add the citric acid, or powdered produce
preservative, which you can find near the canning
supplies at your local grocery store, and give things
a stir. The citric acid adds the oomph to these cleaners.

In a small glass, mix together the vinegar and hydrogen
peroxide, which work together to help clean your commode.
Now drop by drop, add the vinegar and hydrogen peroxide
to the baking soda. If you add the liquid all at once,
you'll have a huge mess due to the reaction between the
    baking soda and citric acid!

Now add the essential oil and gently mix. Any fragrance
works well, but something fresh like wintergreen,
lemongrass, or lavender leaves a wonderful lingering
scent. Use a 1/2 teaspoon to scoop and mold the mixture
into small half rounds and then tap onto a parchment-
covered sheet pan. You can spritz the rounds with equal
parts vinegar and water to create a crust, which helps
hold them together. Let dry 4 hr to overnight.

Place the dried fizzies in a sealable glass jar and keep
next to your commode, making sure to stick on a label so
they aren't mistaken for breath mints! The next time
things get smelly, drop in a tablet after flushing and
you'll love how things freshen up in no time.

Note: M finds this recipe dubious
