Not shrimpy enough for Bonnie or me, too fishy
    for Lilli or Swisher.
    About what I remember.... :)

    Styroshrimp, but good.

Could be worse, the green ones could taste like
    pond scum.
    Indeed... :)

Speaking of which, it seems to be "turnover"
time here, with the tap water tasting like
    pond scum.

Who knows. I don't go often enough to track the
dishes, During the '80s and '90s I went regularly,
because it was on the way to the HMA concerts.
And things could well have changed a lot since those days... :)

With a couple changes in management, sure, and not
to mention the always massive turnover in kitchen
personnel. Fu being a notable exception.

... Life is a Ferrari - costs too much and goes too fast
Unlike my life, a Ferrari looks slick going down
    the road.
Some people might think your life looks slick enough.... ;)

Compared to a VW camper, maybe.

But in your case, squirting liquid in
    helps. My ophthalmologist's prescription
    and suggestions, they didn't work.
Did he have you try Alrex...? It's a mild steroidal (prescription) eye
drop usually used for allergies... of all the things I've tried, it
seems to help the most.... still doesn't totally take care of things,
but it makes things hurt less when the eyes get bad.... and helps the
    vision some....

I tried a couple, don't recall using anything by
    that name.

    Punchline: that's Tonto-logical.
    I suppose... ;)
I'd have thought you saw that coming.
    I should have.... (G)
See, use more of those eye drops.
They don't do much for the brain... ;)

    Bill's Dry Rub Recipe
    categories: spices, ingredient
    yield:

    5 Tb paprika
    1 Tb chili powder
    1 Tb cumin
    1 Tb garlic powder
    1 Tb onion powder
    2 Tb brown sugar
    2 Tb kosher salt
1 ts powdered cayenne or tt
1 ts finely ground black pepper
    - can sub hite pepper
    1 ts white pepper (opt)

Combine ingredients and store in an airtight container
and shake well. Be sure to grind any ingredients that
are not already powdered. It probably wouldn't be a
bad idea to grind all of the rub after you get all of
    the ingredients mixed.

Sprinkle the Rub on the meat before you put in on the
grill or in the oven. This Rub uses sugar so remember
not to cook the meat too hot or the sugar will burn.

This Rub is similar to a Memphis Rub but lacks the
mustard powder that most Memphis Rubs contain.

Perhaps.... not so sure that would be that bad a thing.... but commerce can rest, knowing that there wouldn't be any such thing as a Fountain of Common Sense.....
But there is a fountain of wine in Vienna!
    Inside or outside....? :)

Yuck... that's one reason I don't do tap water much... one never knows
exactly when that will happen.... and one gets a mouthful of it...

Someday, maybe, he'll get someone else in the kitchen with him... ;) I
suspect there's been some turnover in the Cantonese House kitchen...
they've stopped making the daikon/carrot pickle now... and things are
just a bit different overall.. still good, though...

All depends on what one has to compare with, true... :)

Generic for lotoprednol etabonate... I've also used various of the OTC
tears and such, which give some relief at times for the dryness... Also,
for a while, I was using azelastine (I think that was the generic name, actually) which is also an allergy drop more than a dry-eye drug... The
one they came up with specifically for dry eye didn't work for me...
