• 34 Aperol

From MICHAEL LOO@1:123/140 to JIM WELLER on Sunday, March 03, 2019 10:19:52
That's how I plan to make my first one should I ever have
    Aperol on hand.
The stuff as I recall isn't worth seeking
out on its own, though relaxing in a sidewalk
cafe after dealing with Lilli I found an
    Aperol spritz refreshingly welcome.
I have not tasted Aperol but some recent reading informs me it is
basically sweeter, half strength Campari. In that case I 'll give it
a pass and stick to Campari which I have grown fond of, mostly in
Negronis. I make mine 2:1:1 rather than 1:1:1 because, as you
    pointed, out gin is healthy.

They're both bitters-like things, but Aperol is
more friendly, yeah, weaker, and an Aperol spritz
is a child's introduction to Campari soda.

How do you handle taglines? Is one automatically
appended to your posts, and if so, how did you
    get two in?
Bluewave allows me to pick one tagline from a list of stored
ones. I add the second one of a two-liner by reopening the post
after it's finished, opening my tagfile and doing a manual copy and
paste to insert it, then close.

So essentially you're hand doing taglines.
I always thought this automation thing was
    overrated.

Title: Old Frisian Hodgepodge - Oud Friese Winterpot

    I read hedgehog.

1 lb 6 oz cubed pork

And if instead of this you used meatballs rolled
in raw rice, you could have them.

As I recall reading once (not on the Internet -
I can't find any such thing there, though having
taken to checking more frequently than I ought,
as my own memories are likely more accurate than
any body of lore tapped from substandard sources)
hodgepodge comes from the old Dutch huitspot, a
    dish such as you posted.

... If I had to give up whisky I'd have to go back to punching people.

    Party Slush Punch #2
    categories: booze
    yield: 1 batch

    2 c whiskey
    6 oz frozen lemonade concentrate
12 oz cn frozen pineapple juice concentrate
6 oz cn frozen orange juice concentrate
    2 L ginger ale

Put the ingredients into a container in the freezer
(stir occasionally while freezing). To serve: put
2/3 slush to 1/3 seven-up in each glass or same

M's note - a bitterer might improve this.
