Those of us with something to prove may get
    a bit huffy, though.
I suppose... or just learn to smile sweetly and ignore.... ;)
But for the nearly great, that's tough to do.
Makes for a quieter existence, though... ;)
Extremism in the defense of virtue is no vice
for such people - among the would-be great,
quieter existence tends not to be the goal.

True.. I'd just as soon the quieter, though.... ;)

She got put on our board of directors as
well. Wouldn't be surprised if she had
    special new business cards made.
That's the sort that do think they have something to prove.... ;)
I had a business card once, but it died.
When the kid was still in highschool, one of his rotations in shop was printing, so he printed me some business cards for my piano teaching...
I probably have some of those stashed away, maybe even one in my
wallet.... ;) Only business cards I've ever had.... ;)
Patrick of echo picnic fame once took it
upon himself to design me a business card.
    It wasn't me.

The kid didn't do too badly... of course he did consult with me... ;)

It might also have been the neighborhood.
At the time, it was the only place in town that was showing it...
so the participants came from all over... It really was a long
    time ago, now...
In a lot of places they quit showing it and
then revived it as retro or classic or something.
And went back to the original audience participation....?
    Times ten, no doubt.

If it went back to the original participation, that was pretty much good
clean fun... the ramped up ones were where things got bad...

I inquired and got no response. That may
indicate an interruption in the mail, but
it may mean it didn't go so well as all that.
Or just someone not getting around to answering mail...?
Neither; as it turns out a report was sent
and I never received it, a somewhat suspicious
    circumstance in itself.
That's not so good, either.... And did it go well after all, then...?
Turns out she chickened and bought something
    from the neighborhood bakery.

    Oh, well... :)

    A very versatile musician.
Nicely diverse... and indeed versatile... :)
More than almost everyone I know. My friends
tend to be multitalented, but Gunther was way
    up there.
When you were describing him, I thought of Gunther, but I thought you
were talking in present tense, and I know he's no longer with us...
Ah, I accuse my brother of being achronic, but
sometimes I am guilty of that characteristic, too.

Sometimes the timeline just slips or loops... (G)

Had some serious issues recently, with my
credit card denied while I was in Singapore.
It's back to normal now, I hope.
Hopefully. Any clue as to why the denial...?
No clue, and it happened again, but I jawed
it out with them and fixed it. Not sure what
    is going on.
    That's a bit scary....
Life is a bit scary at times. Can't be scared
by it, though, though two nights ago I dreamed of
being the sole survivor of a machine-gun attack.
Unsatisfactory end to the dream: I ran into a
store and asked to use their phone to call 911,
and they said "no" (something that I actually
    experienced once).

That's a rather scary dream.... Lately I've been having dreams in which deceased people are still alive and an active part of the dream... not
letting it bother me, but it is kinda interesting... :)
