Pretty much! Though we are missing him quite a bit and haven't seen
him since Saturday so we're trying to figure out when we can steal
him for a bit as we don't have his room ready yet.
Grandparenting is a lot like "Uncle-ing". Spoil the kids rotten, load
them up with sugar to make them hyper and send them back to their

Yield: 6 Servings
2 c Pure maple syrup
2 c Water
2 c Sifted flour
4 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt
2 tb Butter
1 c Milk
Combine maple syrup and water in a wide saucepan with
tight-fitting lid. Bring to the boiling point.
Sift and measure flour, sift again with baking powder and
salt and cut in shortening. Add milk all at once, mix
rapidly and drop by Tablespoonfuls into the boiling syrup.
Cover pan and cook over slightly lowered heat for about 15
minutes. Serve at once.
Makes 6 servings.
