Of course, and also because she was supremely
good at what she does. I ate her cooking when
she was right out of school, and I should have
marched back into the kitchen and asked her out
    on the spot.
    So what stopped you? (G)

    Youth, shyness, stupidity.

Another of those useless speculations that
we sometimes fall into - what if it did, by
some cosmic accident, happen? And what if
the mysterious planet X suddenly speeds our
    way, too.
Fills time and always fun to hear other people's wild speculations.

    I suppose.

Sure, I could hold my tummy and look for the
bathroom until the next big meal.
Unless you had a fist full of pills to go with it.
    Anyway.
So, it's a pass for now.

Probably for a good long time.

    Opera tickets refundable or transferable?
    Don't know; I don't begrudge a few dozen Euro
to an arts organization as I would to the airline
    or a hotel chain.
    Understandable.

If it goes to artistic and educational
endeavor, I'm okay with it. Not like the
young folks, who "don't give a fig for
    the theatre."

Almost as unlikely as being able to think
oneself back and forth across the ocean.
    Not in our lifetime.
Unlikely in anyone's lifetime in this world.
True, but eventually there may be a new and improved (no time for drinks service on a trans-Atlantic flight) one.

    Speaking of idle speculation. Science
fiction is generally way beyond mem though
I do like reading it sometimes.

New package, same great taste (now 10% fewer
    servings)!
    Yeah, about right.
Irritates the heck out of me. New streamlined
    half gallons, now 1.75 quarts!
Same price, or even a slightly higher one to pay the designer of the new
    box and the advertisers. (G)

And the cost of retooling the assembly lines.

I've got plenty, but none of them involve
movies (or anything else particulary visual).
    OTOH, mine are usually visual.
Maybe I'll try going to a movie with
    binoculars sometime.
    Could be interesting. (G)

Sitting in the front row doesn't work,
    even if I wear earplugs.

This cellist was as good as the one who was
with MS, just lower profile, so she had to
work in the library while the other went on
world tours and was on the albums and such.
Lost her chance at fame and fortune.

Well, that's a big old whoops. Harking back
to my discussion with Nancy, there are those
who will do anything for money, and there are
those who won't. Same with fame.

comment cards, you never will. And that's
prospective, for next time only, and your
ideas will be taken into consideration only
    if they don't cost much.
Unfortunatly so, and not seen audience comment cards.
"Well, then give us a good review on Yelp."
    Another forum I don't do.

I never liked maccheroni with beans.
Some do work well together, others, no music.
    Some people like 'um.
    And some don't.
    Understandable.
    Title: Zucchini and Hominy
    Categories: Mexican, Vegetables, seriously?
Agreed--one of those "What were they smoking when they came up with
    this?" recipies.

Either that or hominy and zucchini used to
    taste a lot better.

    Title: Gingered Fig Confections
    Categories: Desserts, Candies
    Yield: 24 pieces

    1/2 c Orange juice
    2 tb Orange-flavored liqueur
    1 ts Ground ginger
    2 c California dried figs
    3/4 c Chocolate chips
    1 tb Milk

Combine orange juice, liqueur and ground ginger in small saucepan. Bring
to boil; add figs. Simmer, covered, for about 25 minutes, until all
liquid is absorbed. Cool completely. Melt chocolate with milk in top of
double boiler. Holding figs by stem, blot each with paper towel, then dip
in melted chocolate, coating completely. Place on waxed paper lined
baking sheet. Chill until chocolate is firm.

NOTE: These figs stay semi-soft on outside, so to store, keep them
    separated.

    Hi Michael,

Of course, and also because she was supremely
good at what she does. I ate her cooking when
she was right out of school, and I should have
marched back into the kitchen and asked her out
    on the spot.

    Youth, shyness, stupidity.

So, you missed your chance at fame and fortune as Mr. Sara Moulton. (G)

Another of those useless speculations that
we sometimes fall into - what if it did, by
some cosmic accident, happen? And what if
the mysterious planet X suddenly speeds our
    way, too.
Fills time and always fun to hear other people's wild speculations.

    I suppose.

Do you think you would have done as much cooking as you've done since?

Sure, I could hold my tummy and look for the
bathroom until the next big meal.
Unless you had a fist full of pills to go with it.
    Anyway.
So, it's a pass for now.

Probably for a good long time.

Seems that way here also, since we've not gotten back to Germany since
    we left in '92.

young folks, who "don't give a fig for
    the theatre."

Depending on the theatre, a lot of adults don't either. We missed
"Fiddler on the Roof" at DPAC (forgot to get tickets in time, didn't
know when knee surgery would be). I told Steve I want to see "Cats" in
    June tho.

    Speaking of idle speculation. Science

I do like reading it sometimes.

I read some when I was an early teen, never cared for it that much.
OTOH, give me a big fat historic fiction book, and you'll make me a
    happy camper-outer, reading it.

To drop in fewer pieces of whatever.

Sitting in the front row doesn't work,
    even if I wear earplugs.

I like about mid theater--works best for the transition lenses I wear.

    All kinds of people............

Somehow I'm not so sure about that idea. (G)

But this one may be a winner.
