wonder what riling China is going to do to the
US economy in the mid-to-long term.
The Manhattan is the most famous one but there's a cocktail for each
of NYC's boroughs.
Other New York cities have cocktails
inspired by them, but we won't go there
for now.
Queens Cocktail
6 parts Gin
3 parts Sweet Red Vermouth
3 parts Dry White Vermouth
4 parts Pineapple juice
The Queens Cocktail is a variant on the Perfect Martini, with the
addition of pineapple juice and sometimes lemon juice. Its closest
relative is the Bronx, which contains orange juice rather than
pineapple.
Shows that bartenders must think that Manhattan
is the superior borough.
It can be found as early as 1930, in Harry Craddock's Savoy Cocktail
Book
Back when men were women, or at least had
similar tastes.

3/4 oz Gin
3/4 oz Framboise
3/4 oz Lime juice
1/2 oz Cherry Heering
1/2 oz Aperol
1/4 oz Grenadine
1/2 oz Sparkling ros˙ wine
Shake, add sparkling wine, strain over crushed
ice, garnish with raspberries and an orange
half slice, serve with straw.
