We're on, I think our 3rd iteration. Started with a basic one,
years ago, and have upgraded twice.
I don't think I'd have used it enough to justify getting one...
You might surprise yourself on how much you actually use it. (G)

Yes, you know what works best for you. We've used one quite a bit
since coming back from HI.

But Steve is. (G) Got our first one as a trade with one of our friends years ago. She had one, didn't want it. We had a duplicate copy of a
cook book (We'd bought one, given another copy.), "More With Less"
that she was interested--wanted to buy from us. So, a trade off
benefitted both of us.

Maybe so, more stuff from the farmer's market, less from the grocery store.
BTW, Wegman's hopes to open this autumn; they've put out an
announcement that they want to hire about 475 workers. Saw it today;
it's still looks like quite the empty shell but a lot more work has
been done on it than the last time I saw it.

OK, still will be fun to compare. I used recipies from all over the

OK, still will be fun to compare. I used recipies from all over the
book, ranging from the soybean granola to the gingerbread with wheat
germ and a lot in between. The Indonesian shrimp burgers (pia-pia)
were one of our favorites when we lived on the coast and could get
shrimp at a better price. I also grew my own sprouts on a more regular basis when we lived there.
I was using the New York Times Natural Foods cookbook at the same
time, along with Mother's in the Kitchen (LLL), as my primary three cookbooks...
We'll still have to pick up some greens and other veggies,
fruit, eggs, etc from time to time.
That pretty much goes without saying... in our house, add milk
to that... ;)
Our yogurt is your milk. We go thru a lot of it--found a
strawberry-rhubarb flavor in Siggi's yesterday in Publix. Got
a couple to give them a try.
True... :) How is the strawberry-rhubarb flavor...?
Not as good as I hoped--rather light on flavor, actually.
Oh, well...
of my side orders. Some places it's almost as good as mine,
others, I would just as soon forget about. (G)
Cole slaw can be a "safe" thing to try, to help assess how good
a new place is... and/or to fill out a meal... At Friendly's,
I tend to get the cole slaw and the steamed broccoli... and
maybe snitch one french fry from Richard... don't really want a
full order of fries anyway... :)
Both Steve and I usually order side salads instead of fries.
Richard might order a side salad on occasion... but I'd not,
since it wouldn't have Fu's dressing for it.... ;0
I try to get 1,000 Islands, if not I'll ask for Italian (or light
Italian) or balsamic vinegar. The latter ones are Steve's usual
choice. There may be others, depending on where we are, that may be considered as well but those are the usuals. (G)
I used to usually get blue cheese dressing.... but then I stopped
being able to digest the lettuce and cucumbers.... only thing that
lets me eat them now is Fu's dressing.... :)
