    Hi Nancy,

We're on, I think our 3rd iteration. Started with a basic one,
years ago, and have upgraded twice.
I don't think I'd have used it enough to justify getting one...
You might surprise yourself on how much you actually use it. (G)
Maybe, but I doubt it... :)

Yes, you know what works best for you. We've used one quite a bit
    since coming back from HI.

We aren't so much into gadgets and accessories or appliances...

But Steve is. (G) Got our first one as a trade with one of our friends
years ago. She had one, didn't want it. We had a duplicate copy of a
cook book (We'd bought one, given another copy.), "More With Less" that
she was interested--wanted to buy from us. So, a trade off benefitted
    both of us.

Which is less likely now that you are older...
True, and I'm not about to get into a lot of what I did when
I was younger. Should set up the surgery date tomorrow or
Friday. NB>> That, too... Do you have the surgery date now....?

No, the lady who schedules it was in a meeting. No calls Thursday or Friday from her either, sigh!

At least your phone goes with you, so it wouldn't be left as a message waiting for your return... :)

True, but now we have the date of March 21.

Maybe so, more stuff from the farmer's market, less from the grocery
store. BTW, Wegman's hopes to open this autumn; they've put out an
    announcement that they want to hire about 475 workers. Saw it today;
it's still looks like quite the empty shell but a lot more work has been
done on it than the last time I saw it. Other buildings in the plaza are
now under construction also, no idea what they will be. Did see, in

other one in town previously is in an area we don't usually frequent.

    Yup... :)

We do--it's near Costco and Trader Joe's.

    Which makes it convenient... :)

Very much so. We don't go to TJ's that often but will appreciate the convenience of it all.

Did see, in another part of town, on one of our "beaten paths",
a new Popeye's. Only other one in town previously is in an area
    we don't usually frequent.
That'll be more convenient... :) We had a Popeye's open in
Henrietta, but, as it's essentially right across the street
    (W. Henrietta) from Fu's, not much chance we'd be going there
much.... we did go there one Sunday, and decided that we
couldn't really make a full meal there that satisfied as the
    one meal of the day....
Might have been able to, if you ordered a whole bunch of sides.
    (G) NB>> We're really not that into the sides that are offered... at least NB>> not in quantity.... It didn't help that the one thing I
    was
interested in trying out, the shrimp, was all sold out by the

Sigh! My usual side there is cole slaw. Better than a lot I've had,
not as good as my home made. (G)

It's decent stuff, true... but I can only eat so much cabbage at a
    time... ;)

I know, but we don't go there that often. I'll make cole slaw from tine
to time, and if we go somewhere new, it's usually one of my side orders.
Some places it's almost as good as mine, others, I would just as soon
    forget about. (G)

    OK, I'll do that.

I was using MITK, Deaf Smith Country Cookbook, James Beard (a basics,
covers a lot but not whole grain--I made the recipies whole grain)
cookbook, some Betty Crocker Picture Cookbook recpies (also made them
whole grain) and probably others. When "Whole Foods for the Whole
Family" came out in 1981, I got a copy--used it a lot then, and still
    use it a lot.

I never cared for blue cheese dressing. Since Steve said it was one of
his favorites (talking about it before we got engaged), I gave it a try
once. It was way too strong for me--overpowered the rest of the salad. I
like blue cheese in small amounts but that was way too much! Side
note--my parents, once Dad started eating salad, bought only blue cheese dressing. If we were visiting, I usually had my salad without dressing
or sometimes made my own version of 1,000 Islands.
