    Not too bad, then... :)

No, not really. Most of the snow is gone but I did see a small mound
    (plow push up) today.

We've had no snow to speak of this year. Talking about plow push up
remains, I do recall decades ago when I was working that a pile of plow
push up snow in the parking lot at work lasted into mid May. By then it
was absolutely black from the cinder that had been pushed with it.

That's typical for mounds of snow--I saw a small one Thursday, over a
week since we had the storm. Usually we get snow/ice storms in January
or February so one of this size was an anomoly. Sort of reminded me of
when we were living on the NC coast in 1980; first week end in March, a
storm that was supposed to turn and head north, didn't turn. We had 18"
of snow out of that one.

A varient on pasta fagoile? That's a good cold weather soup too, and

aunt's) recipe, with my varients. (G)

Possibly... we've been fortunate that the snow melt hasn't been
occurring fast or in conjunction with heavy rain.... mostly the old
snow has been about gone by the time we've had new, too, this
    winter....

This year, we have not had anything that would be classified as "old
snow" . We have had three snow falls that stuck. One inch, and two at
about three inch. They were all gone within a day or two up to a week.
That is a direct contrast to some previous years. When we had our fire
in 1979, there was 14 inches on the ground and then another 12+ inches
the next day. I've got pictures of me with my snow blower going down
the sidewalk trying to shoot snow over three foot ridge on the side.

Which is, after all, more typical for you anyway... ;) Ours tends to be
more at a time, and it usually stays cold enough that even an inch or
two can stick around for a week or more, by which time there's usually
more... And when there's more than three inches at once, the plowing
does end up making mountains along the parking lots or along the
streets... those don't melt off as quickly... This year, with the roller coaster temps, there was less long-term accumulation....

That is a direct contrast to some previous years. When we had
our fire in 1979, there was 14 inches on the ground and then another
12+ inches the next day. I've got pictures of me with my snow blower going down the sidewalk trying to shoot snow over three foot ridge on

Yes, you've had some doozies some years... :) Some more recent than
    that, too.... :)
