Never been in a Publix, Whole Foods or Harris Teeter, actually...
although I've heard you (and others) talk about them... My friends

I have been in all three, although not a Publix for 60 years. I recall
it being good enough, but things may have changed over the years. There
is a Whole Foods here in Columbia. We went there once. I doubt that
we'll be back. Harris Teeter is also in Columbia. It is higher priced
than the Safeway and Giant stores, and not close enough to be where we
would frequently go unless they had an attractive sale. Their ads often
have the "half price" or Bogo. What the ads do not say is what was the original (high) price.

2 md Potatoes (12 oz) unpeeled
    Cut into 1/2 inch pieces
    1 c Carrots, chopped
    1 c Onions, chopped
    1/2 c Celery, chopped
    1/4 c Celery leaves, chopped

    Salt to taste

In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients, mixing well. Bring to a
boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 40 to 45
minutes, until vegetables are tender. Stir several times while
cooking and add small amounts of water if a thinner stew is desired.

Comments: I like to increase the amount of seasonings. I used full
teaspoons of basil and oregano. I like it hotter so used 1 Tablespoon
    of chili powder.

I heard a rumor, I think, that we might be getting a Whole Foods in Rochester... If that does happen, eventually I'll check it out... We
got a Trader Joes here a few years ago... and I finally checked it out
last month when I was somewhat in the area to have lunch with my
youngest sister (MG)... It was ok... I picked up a couple of treats that
I've not seen other places, but I wouldn't make it a regular part of my shopping.... :)

That's not uncommon... If the sale price is better than what you'd get
at Safeway, Giant or Wegmans, and the quality is indeed worth it, maybe
it would be useful to go out there... but I don't think I'd take the
risk to drive out only to find that it really wasn't worth getting even
    at the sale price.... :)
